Book Search

What we do

This facility offers Society members three main services:-

1. We specialise in searching for Malcolm Saville titles, from paperbacks to scarce 1st edition hardbacks with dustjacket.  Please be patient for the harder titles.
Form (pdf).

2. We will also search for other literature from Enid Blyton to Doctor Who, Monica Edwards to James Herbert, Jennings to adult/children's detective fiction.
Form (pdf).

3. If you would like to send us your spares of good quality Saville books we will be happy to advertise them on the website to other members for you.

How we operate

The informal committee of the Malcolm Saville Society, at its meeting on the 21 August 1999 held in Rye, felt it necessary to clarify how the Book Search Facility should operate. This is due to the changed and evolving nature of the Facility since its inauguration in 1995.

Colin Harding (who was running the Book Search at this time) initially referred to these changes in a letter to Members of the Society in November 1999 but it is important for all new members to be aware of how the Book Search facility operates in relation to the Society.

In summary the Book Search Facility is:
1.  Independent of the Malcolm Saville Society.
2.  Has no financial links with the Society.
3.  Run on a cost-covering basis and is not intended to make profit
     from sales to Society members.
4.  Currently operated by Ray Ham-Longman, and
is recognised as an “approved” facility for Society Members.
