Who's who?

The Society is run by a dedicated team many of whom are shown below. We welcome the active involvement of members for as well as spreading the workload, it helps build friendships.

Frank

Frank Shepperd
Chairman. Frank has the unenviable task of trying to coordinate the many various activities of the Society.

Cathy Elton Cathy Elton
Deputy Chairwoman of the Committee. Cathy will be retiring at the 2012 AGM and is not seeking re-election.

Bill

Bill Purvis
Bill has taken on the job of Secretary and deals with communications.
Bill also acts as Webmaster, trying to keep the society website up-to-date.
Mike Mike McGarry
Treasurer and keeper of the money-bag.
Mike also holds back issues of the magazine Acksherley. He also has copies of the DVD Treasure and Trouble, which he helped produce, for sale.
Alan Stone
Recently retired as Editor of Acksherley!.
Alan has produced two books of Short Stories, written for competitions we held in 2006 and 2009.

Alan will be retiring by rotation at the 2012 AGM and is not seeking re-election.

Ray Ham-Longman
Committee member and Book Search Specialist.

Chris Elton
Committee member, Chris is standing down from the Committee at the 2012 AGM, and is not seeking re-election.
Jenny Aitken
Committee member, Jenny will be retiring by rotation at the 2012 AGM and is not seeking re-election.
