This short story first appeared in the 1950 The Guide Gift
Book. Penny Warrender has an adventure in Rye without
the help of the Mortons.
It was first published as a book
by the Malcolm Saville Society in 2001 to mark the centenary of Malcolm
Saville's birth.

This hardback book is 32 pages long and is
190 x 133mm - the same size as the Newnes Lone Pine books. As well
as the story, the book has a foreword by Mark
O'Hanlon, and an introduction by George
Jasieniecki. The dust wrapper illustration is by Kim
Spencer.
