Come to Liverpool 2024

Members gathered in Liverpool in September to explore the city and, especially, to visit the Anglican Cathedral, with its Saville link to Queen Elizabeth’s  Coronation of 1953. The rich cultural heritage of the city was explored through guided tours and optional free time, taking in a myriad of themes - Beatles, slavery, American  Civil, Napoleonic and World Wars, football and  art. The group gathered for evening meals in the iconic Philharmonic pub, tasted Pan Asian over looking the waterfront and “Three Graces”, finishing Italian Style on Sunday evening, with a heavily laden desert trolley enjoyed by all.

For some members this was their first trip to Liverpool – perhaps not their last !
