Membership renewals have been at a high level for the current year, after much behind the scenes work by the Membership Registration Team and Treasurer, working with our website development team at The Visual Works. 

Recognising that some members prefer to go completely digital nowadays - sometimes as personal choice, sometimes to maintain the previous membership fee, at a time when the cost of living is affecting so many - the choice was there for renewals, and it will now be offered to all new members joining the Society. 

Subscriptions had remained unchanged for 13 years! This was during a time of significant other price increases across the board, including the cost of printing our magazines and the price of postage - although much of the work continues to be done by volunteers.

So many members enjoy receiving a hard copy of Acksherley! (and our other publications) and we are very pleased that so many have been happy to pay an increased subscription fee, in order to continue reading it in this way - and often to add to their special collections in their homes. 

This week has seen a further stage in the successful launch of the alternative option. On Wednesday our Digital Members all received an email with a link to the digital version of Acksherley! 89, which they can now download and read at their leisure. 

In due course the digital version will be added to the Acksherley! Library in the Members Area of our website, in the normal way, for all logged in members to access and refer to.
