On Monday 23 February 2026 members of the Tenterden and District Local History Society will be attending an illustrated talk  entitled Malcolm Saville: his stories and the local landscape.

Presenter Elaine Luke will talk about The Gay Dolphin Adventure and Rye Royal at Highbury Hall TN30 6LE 

The publicity for the Society provides the following information: 'Between 1943 and 1978 Malcolm Saville wrote delightful adventure stories for children. Enjoy a nostalgic journey through his landscape settings around Rye.'
