Rye Arts Festival talk on 13 September 2022

Rye Arts Festival talk on 13 September 2022

TICKETS NOW ON SALE for this Rye Arts Festival talk about Saville by local Society member, Elaine Luke.  CLICK HERE FOR THE BOX OFFICE

This fascinating, fully illustrated talk will focus on Saville's life and writing, and particularly his use of the Sussex and Kent landscapes as settings for some of his books. Elaine will recall the vivid descriptions in and around his much-loved town of Rye.

The event marks the 40th anniversary of Malcolm Saville's death in 1982 and Society members are planning to meet for a picnic lunch in the Gun Garden afterwards and to look out for flying saucers and mysterious strangers!

Society member, John Case, is the Rye Arts Festival Director and will be introducing the talk. Sally Walker, another Society member, will be stewarding - and they are keen for others to introduce themselves to one of them .

There's another talk in the afternoon about Writers in Romney Marsh which promises to be very interesting for those coming for the day - and lots of other fascinating events over the fortnight of the festival.
