On 17 July the online Malcolm Saville Book Club was launched and the programme for the next few months was agreed.

The Book Club plans to meet via Zoom on the third Thursday of each month at 19:30 (British time) and will be open to ALL members of the  Malcolm Saville Society - we've already welcomed a member who joined us online from Melbourne, Australia!

The book for discussion on 21 August will be Mystery at Witchend. 18 September will be Seven White Gates and 16 October The  Gay Dolphin Adventure.

There was agreement on starting points for discussion - for example the character who had the greatest impact on you as a reader, landscape features you enjoyed, the plot, cultural differences of interest including comparisons of 'then and now', elements that readers found touching, etc.

Participants will be encouraged to share a paragraph or two that they particularly enjoy(ed).

The March meeting will be dedicated to the appropriate book(s) for the forthcoming Annual Gathering location - which ensures that, if we attend, we will have read the book!

We hope to intersperse our fiction reading with some of Saville's non-fiction books.
