Seven White Gates

Peter visits her aunt and uncle on their farm, below the Stiperstones, and encounters Romanies Reuben, Miranda and Fenella on the way. The brooding presence of the Stiperstones seems to have had an effect on Uncle Micah, who resembles an Old Testament prophet. What could have been a miserable holiday for Peter becomes an exciting adventure, after meeting Jenny, and after the Mortons come and camp with her in the barn that becomes HQ2.
