Online Book Club Session 2

Following a successful launch of the Malcolm Saville Book Club on 17 July, the programme for the next few months has been agreed, as described below.

The Book Club meets via Zoom on the third Thursday of each month at 19:30 (British time) and is open to ALL members of the  Malcolm Saville Society.

If you are interested, please email events@witchend.com to register your interest, including your membership number, and Pam McKee, the convenor, will contact you.

The book for discussion on 21 August will be Mystery at Witchend. 18 September will be Seven White Gates and 16 October The  Gay Dolphin Adventure.

Some starting points for discussion:

• the character who had the greatest impact on you
• any landscape features you enjoyed 
• the plot
• any cultural differences of interest comparing then with now 
• anything that really touched you

Participants may also like to share a paragraph or two that they enjoyed.

The March meeting will be dedicated to the appropriate book(s) for the forthcoming Annual Gathering location - which ensures that, if we attend, we will have read the book!

We hope to intersperse our fiction reading with some of Saville's non-fiction books.
